This is another rant post.

I watched the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. I'll admit it, the movie sucked. But it irritates me that people are blaming Michael Bay for this despite that he's only a producer. Does he really have that much control over the development of the film in that role? I'd like to know, because people keep talking like he's the one who made the film, despite the fact that the director, Jonathan Liebesman, is the guy who brought us Wrath of the Titans, Battle: Los Angeles, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, and Darkness Falls.

Personally, my thoughts are, if Michael Bay directed this movie, at least he wouldn't have fucked up the action scenes, and probably would've paced the movie better.

Still needed better script writers though. The only film those writers did that I was entertained by was Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.

Either way, they're already planning on doing a sequel to this travesty. Get rid of the director, hire better script writers, and it might turn out decent.

If you want to read more, I reviewed the film on letterboxd.
